For toddler age (1yr to 3) My nephews seem to like the Brown Bear series. They are rather repetitive, but it works for that age. Andrew and Caleb love to point out the various animals and make the appropriate sounds as we read the book. I believe it helps develop the cognitive recognition, as they can point out the red bird, even if they can't quite verbalize it yet. Do you have abook that your toddler loves? What is it, and what do you like about it?

Reading can be fun!
When is "too soon" to begin emphasizing literacy for your kids? How do you do this in away that is age-appropriate and fun? Some children just seem to be naturally inclined toward reading and stories, while others may need an extra bit of encouragement. I believe a love of reading and learning has to start early, and can come in many forms. Those of you with children, how did and do you encourage and excitement for books and learning? Any thoughts? I'd love to hear you ideas and great finds!
